Terms and conditions

General

These terms apply to the use of the ProAssist app (the "Service"). By creating an account you accept these terms. ProAssist reserves the right to change the terms with 30 days' notice by email or in-app notification.

Description of the Service

ProAssist is a platform that connects task posters (individuals or businesses who need help) with helpers (individuals who carry out tasks). ProAssist is not a party to the agreement between the task poster and the helper, but provides intermediation and payment handling on the helper's behalf. The fact that we issue invoices in the helper's name and on the helper's account is a practical service for the helper and does not make ProAssist a party to the agreement or the seller of the work.

User requirements

  • You must be 18 or older to earn money on ProAssist as a helper or driver. If you are between 13 and 17, you can post tasks and book carpooling as a passenger, but helpers can only offer you a fixed price, never an hourly rate, so you never pay more than the agreed amount. Your age comes from MitID, and the restrictions are lifted automatically on the day you turn 18.
  • You warrant that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.
  • Business accounts must provide a valid CVR number.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.

Tasks

  • Task posters are responsible for describing the task accurately.
  • Helpers undertake to carry out accepted tasks with reasonable care.
  • ProAssist does not guarantee the availability of helpers or the quality of the work performed.
  • Illegal, harmful or discriminatory tasks are prohibited and may result in immediate account closure.

Reporting, blocking and inappropriate behaviour

Harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud and sexual or violent content are prohibited on ProAssist — in chat, in photos, in reviews and in task descriptions.

  • You can block another user directly in the app. A block stops messages between you, and you are no longer matched on new tasks.
  • You can report a user from their profile. The report goes to our support team and can include your own description of what happened.
  • We review reports of harassment, fraud and inappropriate content within 24 hours and remove content, warn, restrict or close accounts when necessary.
  • Blocks can be lifted again under Settings → Blocked users. Serious matters may in addition be reported to the police.

Payment and fees

  • All payments are handled via Stripe Connect. ProAssist never stores your card details itself.
  • ProAssist charges the helper a service fee of 20% (incl. VAT) of the task amount. The fee is included in the amount the task poster pays. ProAssist ApS invoices the fee to the helper and offsets it against the payout. 10% of the fee we charge goes to the monthly community pool for active users.
  • Nothing is paid when a task is created. When the task poster accepts the helper's quote or a fixed price, the amount is reserved on the task poster's payment card. A reservation is not a payment.
  • The amount is only charged once the task is finished, and only for the time actually used (measured per started quarter-hour) or for the agreed fixed price. You are never charged more than 20% above the estimated amount. If the task ends up cheaper than estimated, the rest of the reservation is released.
  • The money is released to the helper 24 hours after the task is finished — or immediately if both the task poster and the helper have confirmed it before then. If the task poster raises a complaint in the meantime, the money is held back until the case is settled.
  • Payouts to helpers are made via Stripe Connect to the linked bank account.
  • Once the task poster has paid, ProAssist issues an invoice to the task poster in the helper's name and on the helper's account. If the helper is VAT-registered, the task poster must state their address in the app before the invoice can be created. When the money is released to the helper, the helper receives an invoice from ProAssist ApS for the service fee. If an invoiced payment is refunded in full or in part, we issue a credit note. Both parties find their documents under the task in the app and can share them from there. We do not send documents by email.

Prices and VAT

All prices in the app and on this website are stated in Danish kroner. The hourly rate or fixed price you see on a helper or in a quote is the final price, and no VAT is added on top. Whether the amount includes VAT depends on whether the helper is VAT-registered. This is stated on the invoice you receive once the task has been paid.

ProAssist's 20% service fee includes VAT. The fee is calculated from the task amount, charged to the helper and offset against the helper's payout. The helper receives a separate invoice from ProAssist ApS for the fee, and the document sits under the task in the app.

ProAssist issues the invoice to the task poster in the helper's name and on the helper's account under section 52 a(4) of the Danish VAT Act. The seller is the helper or the helper's business, who is responsible for their own VAT and tax. If the seller is VAT-registered, the VAT is shown on the invoice. If the seller is not VAT-registered, there is no VAT line, and that does not change the price.

Cancellation and compensation

  • The task poster can cancel free of charge within 15 minutes of creating the task, provided the task has not started. The whole reservation is released and nothing is charged.
  • If the task poster cancels after those 15 minutes, 20% of the estimated amount is charged, up to a maximum of DKK 2,000, and only if money has already been reserved on the card. The amount is compensation for the time the helper set aside: most of it goes to the helper, and ProAssist keeps its usual service fee. The rest of the reservation is released. The cancellation requires a written reason, which the helper is shown, and the task poster receives a note for the compensation issued in the helper's name. The helper receives an invoice from ProAssist ApS for the service fee.
  • If the helper cancels, it is always free for the task poster. The whole reservation is released and the helper forfeits the task.
  • A task that has started cannot be cancelled by either party. It can be paused or finished, and both parties can contact support along the way.
  • A finished task cannot be cancelled. If the task poster is dissatisfied, they must instead raise a complaint in the app before the money is released to the helper.

Private agreements and circumventing the platform

  • It is not permitted to use ProAssist to establish contact and then deliberately bypass the platform's payment or fee structure.
  • It is not permitted to use the platform to conceal income or evade statutory tax, VAT or other reporting.
  • In cases of significant or repeated misuse, ProAssist may warn the user, restrict features, suspend the account or close the account.

ProAssist does not itself determine whether a specific arrangement constitutes undeclared work, and does not issue fines. Any tax or criminal sanctions are decided by the relevant authorities under applicable law.

Businesses that find employees via ProAssist

If a business finds a person through ProAssist and subsequently offers that person permanent or long-term employment, ProAssist encourages the business to let us know.

The information is used, among other things, to understand the platform's impact, improve the service and follow up on successful matches. Any processing of personal data takes place in accordance with the privacy policy.

  • The quality of the work performed.
  • Damage arising during the performance of tasks.
  • Disputes between task posters and helpers.
  • Losses resulting from downtime at third-party services (Stripe, Supabase and others).

ProAssist's total liability is limited to the total service fees ProAssist has received on the user's tasks and rides over the past 12 months.
